Description: First built in 1883 as a paper mill, the mill was purchased by Mercer in 1994. Mercer Rosenthal was then converted to a modern NBSK pulp mill in 1999. The Rosenthal mill is located in the town of Blankenstein, Germany, approximately 300 km south of Berlin. The mill has an annual NBSK pulp capacity of 360,000 tonnes and an electricity generation capacity of 57 MW. In addition, Rosenthal has the capacity to produce 6,000 tonnes of crude tall oil per year.
